My Classroom

A Classroom Tour
2013-2014

Behind my desk... as you can tell I'm a San Jose Sharks hockey fan.

Command central for my students. I ask that they highlight
their name and class number before they turn in their papers.
The subject signs are courtesy of Kristen at Ladybug's Teacher Files.

I sectioned off part of my white board for HW.
All those subjects are not necessarily up every day.

I send home important papers, assignments, etc.
every 2 weeks or so. Each student has a folder
for the year. I made these labels using an Avery template.

I have a large bin with hanging folders, one for each student, where
we collect their papers to be sent home. Again, the label is courtesy
of Kristen at Ladybug's Teacher Files.
The books are organized in my library by author last name.
It makes it much easier for the students to put them back in the right area.

The class supplies & games are also clearly labeled.
I've since upgraded to tupperware containers with lids
for the glue, scissors, crayons, etc.

Can you tell I'm obsessed with the labels
from Kristen at Ladybug's Teacher Files?
'Cuz they're ah-ma-zing!

I inherited these two blue mini papasan chairs, and the students in my class often fight over them. I have to admit, they are pretty comfy when you settle in with a good book. I also use this mini book shelf to highlight whatever theme we're working on. This was towards the end of the year when we really study how the U.S. government came to be.
